Looking South on the South Fork Yuba River
Posted by See The Light (Newcastle, United States) on 3 February 2008 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.
This was after a snow storm hit the Sierra Nevada mountains dumping snow at the lower elevations bringing with it incredible color in an already incredible palce.
My greatest obsticle in photography is not wanting to carry my tripod, I have a monopod but it is not sturdy like a tripod. I have been contemplating a carbon tripod but they are costly. I do think that for a landscape to be tack sharp one must have a tripod and a shutter release cord. I do have a tripod but it is heavy and I like to hike as light a possible, that being said this is hand held..
